Chilli Basil Dips
Scroll ↓
This is my take on the classic chimichurri dip. It’s a perfect appetizer to start off your summer soirées. I love spicy food, but over the years my tolerance has decreased—what I enjoy most about this recipe is that the hint of aromatic zataar gives it a subtle herby and nutty flavour, and when combined with chilli, it tastes even better! The heat is just right—not too much so you won’t melt when the weather is glorious.
Ingredients:
-Basil (roughly chopped)
-Olive oil
- Balsamic vinaigrette
-Zataar (a Middle Eastern spice mix that includes oregano and sesame seeds)
-Chilli (fresh or dried)
-Garlic (minced)
-Cumin
-Pinch of salt and pepper
How to make it:
Mix all ingredients together, then serve with crusty sourdough bread. Let me know what you think!
